A young man has been brutally murdered. His mother is the prime suspect. His sultry, singing, ghost-of-an-aunt emcees their story through a series of musical flashbacks. Landscape of the Body is a funny, poignant and macabre tale of a woman searching for her own identity in the midst of extreme dysfunction. Though the situations of the play seem outrageous, the playwright challenges us with society’s tendency to confuse fantasy, reality and media hype.
