Global Lunch Discussion
Wednesday, October 5, 2011
12 p.m.-12:45 p.m.
In July of 2011, Professor Sylvia Alajaji (Music) and Margaretta Gergen ('12) went to Rwanda to explore the role of music in shaping and transforming Rwandan identity during and after the 1994 Genocide. During the Global Lunch, they will discuss the very complex space music inhabits in Rwandan identity and the way music is being used today to heal and reconcile in the face of such significant and divisive wounds.
Global Lunch discussions are sponsored by the International Studies Program and offer a free lunch and scintillating international topic. First-come, first-served, no RSVP necessary.
This event is open to F&M students and FPS only.
