Hosted by the History Department:  open to History Majors and anyone else interested in going to graduate school!

Speakers will be 
Hoda Yousef, Assistant Professor of History at F&M, Ph.D., Georgetown, 2011, and Kyle Wengerter, F&M ’12 (former History Major and winner of the Landis Prize), finishing a Masters in the Arts of Teaching (MAT) Social Studies at Rutgers-Newark.
 
Here are some questions we will address—bring your own!
 
·      What can you do with an MA or PhD in History?
 
·      How to apply and make yourself an attractive candidate?
 
·      How to secure funding (fellowships and teaching assistantships)?
 
·      What is it like being in graduate school (finances, classes, professors, dissertation or thesis work, exams, etc.)?
