Global Lunch Discussion

The Most Vulnerable of the Vulnerable: Refugees and Asylum Seekers

Global Lunch Discussion Series
Sponsored by International Studies Program

Monday, February 3, 2014
12 p.m.-1 p.m.

The theme for Spring 2014 Global Lunch Discussions is Refugees and Asylum Seekers.

Susan Dicklitch is the director of the Ware Institute for Civic Engagement at F&M. Students in Professor Dicklitch's Human Rights-Human Wrongs community-based learning class work on actual asylum cases along with lawyers from PIRC (PA Immigration Resource Center) in York, PA. Students visit the asylum seekers, observe the legal proceedings and assist with writing legal briefs that may eventually result in freedom for asylum seekers. Our theme for the spring Global Lunches is Refugees.

This event is open to F&M students and FPS only.
