In A LIE OF THE MIND, a sudden, brutal act of domestc violence throws two families into crisis.  The poetic complexities of  this brilliant work by Sam Shepard rupture all notions of memory, love, and home in the American landscape.  The original production won a New York Drama Critics Award for Best Play of the year in 1986.
