Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill are two of the world’s leading artists in traditional Irish music. The Irish fiddler and American guitarist have been creating adventurous, soulful interpretations of traditional tunes for nearly 20 years. Martin Hayes, a native of County Clare, is regarded as one of the most extraordinary artists to have emerged in the world of Irish traditional music. He is the recipient of many national and international awards including six All-Ireland fiddle championships. Hayes is joined by his longtime accompanist Dennis Cahill, one of the most innovative guitarists in Irish music. The duo are known for their spell-binding performances, starting from the simplest of melodies and building  in intensity, yet never abandoning musicality or ideas. Their partnership is ranked among the most memorable in world music today.

"The fiddler Martin Hayes and guitarist Dennis Cahill push Irish music in impressionistic directions...a Celtic complement to Steve Reich's quartets or Miles Davis's 'Sketches of Spain'."—The New York Times
